The story of Michael's Promise is rooted in a remarkable journey of healing and resilience. As a very young girl, our Founder, Lisa Stewart, experienced sexual abuse for several years. This harrowing experience left her feeling unworthy in almost every aspect of her life.
My self-esteem was barely there, and I carried shame for far too many decades,” she recounts. “Yet, in the midst of this darkness, a profound realization emerged—a sense of purpose and a calling to help children and adults who have experienced similar trauma to heal."
Lisa, with our dedicated volunteers, firmly believe that survivors of abuse deserve to know that they are more than enough, and that the burden of shame does not belong to them. Every individual is a beautiful, resilient soul, crafted with divine perfection, capable of turning dreams into reality.

I realized the most amazing thing that came out of this darkness, that is, I found my purpose, why I am here on this planet.
I am compelled to help children and adults that have been molested to heal. I want survivors of any abuse to know you are more than enough, and shame is not yours to carry. You are a beautiful, strong soul made from God’s perfection and can have your dreams become reality.
Our goal is to have a non-profit online and brick and mortar facility where children and adults come to start their healing journey.
